Thank you for viewing my site. I wanted to be a Creative Artist. Instead, I became an Artist Representative. After raising a son and building a successful career, I came back around to the first idea by way of taking classes at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

From there, oil painting is taking shape after years of keen and sensitive observation of Nature, Light, Shadow and Color. I am inspired by Nature and the living world around me. Everything I have seen in my life, every captured bit of light and shadow are remembered. I use oil paint – I like mixing colors and mapping them out before beginning a painting. Referencing many photos, maybe other works of art, and I take bits from all I see. Sometimes, I will use computer color manipulation.

My paintings are semi-real and semi-abstract all at once. I like nature: fields, water, seascapes, horizons, shapes of nature. It is my aim, as a project for the future, to create artwork to show how natural world forms relate exactly to human forms. I want to bring together and emphasize how the two seemingly different entities actually have some of the very same patterns of structure within them.

My paintings are commissioned mostly and rather large usually. Some of my work is work that I enjoy looking at, and I think others would be an escape from the chaotic and busy type of world we live in. I am natures’ girl; growing up in Michigan, traveling to northern Canada often with my fly fisherman father.

My work of Nature is calm, tranquil, and restful but at the same time, strong, definitive, and energetic. Kind of like… me.
